Archaeological Finds Analysis Days at Goldingham Hall

Stour Valley Community Archaeology recently held two post-excavation finds analysis days at Goldingham Hall. The purpose of these days was to sort through the tonnes (not literally, but almost) of finds from the May 2014 excavation at Goldingham Hall, Bulmer. Both days were dutifully led by SVCA committee member Julie Thomson and the finds were weighed, catalogued and recorded as part of the post-excavation process. Specific finds are now ready to be formally identified and dated, namely the pottery, bone and worked flint. These three categories will provide the bulk of dating evidence for our site. Thanks to all who were involved and watch this space for further updates on Goldingham Hall.
